The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background and a proactive approach to modern database practices. \n Accountabilities Administer, maintain, and optimize MySQL database environments across production and non-production systems Design, implement, and manage replication strategies and high-availability configurations Lead database modernization efforts, including schema refactoring and upgrade planning Integrate database systems with automated deployment pipelines and DevOps workflows Collaborate with engineering teams to support CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies Ensure database security, backup, recovery, and data integrity standards are maintained Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in high-availability environments Support adoption of agentic tooling pipelines and AI-driven approaches for database automation Document database architecture, processes, and operational best practices Requirements Mid- to senior-level professional with 8–10+ years of relevant experience in database administration Strong hands-on experience in MySQL administration, replication, and high-availability configuration Proven expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting complex database issues Experience with schema refactoring and upgrade planning Familiarity with automated deployment pipelines and DevOps integration Experience working with large-scale, high-volume transactional systems Knowledge of cloud database services and distributed database architectures Exposure to agentic tooling pipelines or AI-driven database management approaches is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related or equivalent work experience required.
