Job Details Job Location: Enfield Farms, Inc. - Lynden, WA Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly Description Summary The Case Handler Heavy is responsible for opening cases of raw product, introducing raw product to the production line, stacking finished cases of product, and cleaning production floor of fruit debris, used packaging and trash materials. This position requires repeated lifting of 25-40 lbs. of weight throughout the entirety of the shift lasting 8 or more hours. Must understand and follow GMPs and SQF standards. Job Responsibilities to be Evaluated at 30 Days (not limited to) Repeatedly lifting and dumping bulk frozen product onto the line. Visually inspecting packaging for defects. Assembling cases manually and mechanically. Cleaning the production floor of fruit debris, used packaging and trash materials. Following all food safety and GMP policies. Ensuring product and personal safety by following all GMPs, wearing proper gloves, masks, and garments per customer/EFI standards. Following all sanitation procedures for handling product. Verifying package codes are correct and in proper location. Assembling cases to be filled. Inspecting cases to ensure they are properly taped and assembled. Always maintaining a clean and safe work area. Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications Minimum Qualifications to be Evaluated at 30 Days Responsible and dependable team player Regular attendance and punctuality are expected in compliance with Company Policy – we are counting on you. Honest and open communication Employee must develop the speed needed to feed raw product to the production process. (2 cases per minute.) Prepper: must be able to break down 2 cases per minute, from taking the case from pallet to placing the case on the buffer table. Dumper: Must be able to dump raw product and to break down two cases per minute, from taking the case at the buffer table to placing the cardboard on the stack for the cleaner. Stacker: must be able to get the pallet, place the slip sheet on the pallet and then stack the product following customer specifications, stacker must be able to stack 2 cases per minute. Safety: follows safety guidelines, as described in the Heavy Position Training for Dumper, Prepper and Stacker. Working Conditions Frequently works in extreme cold (non-weather), in wet or humid conditions (non-weather). Works in areas that require ear protection and/or other PPE. The worker is subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, vibrations, working on mezzanines, and exposure to chemicals. Physical Demands The Heavy Case Packing position is considered heavy to very heavy work. This position requires repeated lifting of 25-40 LBS of weight throughout the entirety of the shift lasting 8 or more hours. Frequently lifts to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift and occasionally up to 100 pounds or more. Lifting product from shoulder height to hip and floor to hip movements. Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, push, pull, climb, or balance, or talk or hear. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Environment is quick paced and repetitious. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Year Round Full Time Non-Exempt Anticipated Hours: Chocolate: Monday – Friday and Occasional Weekends 2:30pm-12:00am (Second Shift Position)
