Job Description The main purpose of this role: Is to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency and governance of Deloitte Namibia in alignment with Deloitte Africa and Global Standards, Namibian regulatory requirements and partnership governance standards. The position serves as a strategic business partner to the Country Leader and leadership team, providing financial insight, operational oversight and risk management to support sustainable growth, profitability and exceptional client service delivery. The role includes direct line management of administrative, finance and support services staff to ensure high-quality service delivery and operational excellence. Performance Area's: Operational Management & Execution: Oversee daily office operations, ensuring efficient support to client facing teams. Ensure reception, transport and office administration functions operates efficiently and professionally. Implement and maintain operational policies, procedures and internal controls. Accountable for payments related to payroll and 3rd parties and ensuring compliance with PAYE and statutory deductions. Financial Management & Control Lead end to end financial management including budgeting, target setting, forecasting, cash flow management and financial reporting for Namibia. Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts in line with Deloitte reporting standards. Monitor profitability by service line, engagement margins and cost drivers. Ensure compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory requirements. Leads in maintaining, amending and communication of general ledger policies and procedures. Oversee audit processes and coordinate with internal and external auditors. Accountable for payroll governance, ensuring accurate, timely processing, statutory compliance and correct financial posting. Responsible for financial and performance analysis, insights and provides strategic financial advice for Namibia. Interrogates working capital and revenue before and after Project Services rollover. Responsible for approvals of purchase orders, expense claims and journals. Manage, supervise and review the work of the accountant to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain full accountability for fixed assets management including capitalization, depreciation, disposals and reconciliation to the GL. Prepares partnership tax accounts and calculates partnership drawings and manages other partner affairs. Revenue, Billing & Working capital Management Oversee billing, collections, and revenue recognition processes. Monitor WIP, debtors, and recoverability metrics. Implement controls to improve cash conversion cycles. Partner with service line leaders to address billing & recovery risks. Procurement, Facilities and Vendor Management Manage procurement processes inline with Deloitte policies. Oversee vendor contracts, service level agreements and cost optimisation initiatives. Manage outsourced service providers, including contract performance, service levels and cost control. Govern acquisition, tracking and disposal of firms assets in line with Deloitte policies and financial controls. Ensure assets are safeguarded and insured. Responsible for managing office facilities (building, furniture, equipment, leases), maintenance, cleaning and upkeep. Ensure a professional, safe and client ready working environment. Systems, Reporting & Strategic Support Act as liaison with Deloitte Africa Finance and Operations and the Namibia Leadership. Ensure integrity and effective use of financial and operational systems. Prepare management dashboards, KPI’s and strategic reports for leadership. Support regional initiatives, transformation projects and system implementations. Risk, Compliance and Governance Ensure compliance with Deloitte Risk & Independence, Quality, and Ethics standards. Maintain and monitor operational and financial risk registers. Coordinate internal risk reviews, quality inspections and regulatory audits. Ensure adherence to Namibian labour, tax and corporate governance requirements. Oversee business continuity planning, health and safety, and data protection compliance. People Management & Leadership Provide direct line management, supervision and performance oversight of the roles supporting the Finance and Operations function with Deloitte Namibia. Includes providing operational oversight of outsourced service providers such as cleaning staff. Conducts performance reviews, coaching and development discussions in line with Deloitte performance management frameworks. Fosters a professional and positive environment for staff. Qualifications Qualification & Experience Requirements: Minimum Qualification: Postgraduate qualification (Honours, MBA, MBL) Desired Qualification: Professional accounting qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) Minimum Experience: 8 years of progressive experience in finance and operations, and managing others, preferably within a professional services or financial services firms. Desired Experience: 5 years in finance leadership or management role. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, working capital and cash flow management, governance, compliance and audit coordination and managing multi-functional teams Core Competencies and Skills Required: Technical & Professional: Working knowledge of tax laws and submission of returns. Strong financial and commercial acumen Knowledge of IFRS and local statutory requirements Strong analytical abilities – to be able to analyse financial data and identify trends and opportunities. Excellent accounting knowledge – to be able to accurately prepare and review financial data Advanced excel and financial systems proficiency- able to use financial modelling and forecasting tools. Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis. Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting. Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes. Exemplary history of financial project management.
