JOB OVERVIEW:

This Role as National Account Executive, within Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) will support our DSD business with Walmart & Sam’s Club, specifically our Independent & Pepsi Sales Organization (IPSO). This individual will serve as a key member of the sales management team, who contributes to the strategic direction of the customer relationship. This role is responsible for volume, revenue, and share growth by developing, selling, and executing KDP Walmart Inc. strategies for the IPSO Direct Store Delivery (DSD) business, working with our Pepsi Bottling of North America Bottling Partners and Pepsi Franchise Owned Bottlers. This individual will also be responsible for process improvements in the areas of store-level service & plan execution for KDP, Walmart Inc., and Distributors within their assigned System/ Route to Market (RTM). This position will provide high visibility and interaction with leaders across the organization.
This position will be based in Rogers, AR and will have travel requirements approximately 30% of the time.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work extensively with the Independent & Pepsi Sales Organization and key Bottlers within the IPSO system, and cross-functionally with DSD Sales, IPSO Bottling Partners, Omni, & Category to drive communication, growth, service, execution, and continuous improvement
  • Cultivate and maintain effective business relationships with all customers, including Walmart Home Office, IPSO Bottling Partners for both Walmart & Sam’s Club, KDP leadership, and other key stakeholders
  • Function as a voice for the IPSO network within the Walmart Inc. National Retail Sales Team, and as a subject matter expert on our Walmart business for our Botting Partners and IPSO Field Teams across the IPSO system
  • Plays a vital role in the brand and distribution strategy at Walmart and Sam’s Club for Crush and Schweppes brands, and acts as a subject matter expert on our Walmart business for our Botting Partners and operations teams within the IPSO System
  • Utilize internal, syndicated, and point of sale (POS) data to conduct monthly business reviews, identify opportunities and adjust plans to meet and exceed annual goals and objectives
  • Manage promotional process from planning stage, to development, to execution ensuring all retail timelines are met, deliverables executed, and timely communication to all internal and retailer parties
  • Sell, coordinate, & communicate key initiatives to Bottler/Distributor Decision Makers, ensuring plan alignment and execution of internal strategies, and the overall JBP
  • Serve as an adhoc project lead for Sam’s Club LTO initiatives
  • Identify opportunities and lead cross-functional projects such as ensuring timely modular reset execution, improving on-shelf availability, reducing cost to serve, driving display execution, improving service & OPD metrics, refining communications, & creating impactful field selling stories, etc.
  • Lead joint planning with key IPSO Bottlers through facilitation of regular group meeting/
  • Develop short- and long-term strategic growth plans for Walmart Inc. and IPSO Route to Market in coordination with our Commercial Organization, DSD Sales Team, & Omni Team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in positions of increasing responsibility
  • Data Analytics & Strategic Insights- Leverage relevant external insights (industry, competitors, category, brand, channel, consumer, and account) to develop a strategic agenda that drives focus, results, & share growth behind the KDP portfolio strategy
  • Project Management – executing a project from start to finish ability to communicate long-term vision and shorter-term opportunities through clear & simple messages
  • Ability to proactively identify business opportunities and deliver innovative solutions to address business needs. Strong analytical rigor that drives results-orientation
  • Ability to leverage internal and external relationships to drive strategic agenda, alignment, and capabilities development for the team
  • Must be completely PC proficient, able to develop his/her own oral and visual presentations, possess strong excel/ data management skills and impactful general correspondenceAbility to travel when necessary – approximately 30%

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL ALSO DEMONSTRATE THESE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strongly prefer Walmart and/or Sam’s experience, or experience in another “Fortune 500” company within the Consumer-Packaged Goods, Beverage, or related industries
  • Experience working in a Direct Store Delivery environment
