WHO YOU ARE

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills / knowledge / experience:
+ Strong experience in national account management or similar role within FMCG, beauty, or wellness.
+ Experience managing UK high street and/or grocery retailers (e.g., Boots, Superdrug, Sainsbury’s, Holland & Barrett).
+ Hunger to exceed ambitious sales targets.
+ Strong understanding of retail commercial structures and account planning, including forecasting, JBP (Joint Business Plan) creation, and account profitability.
+ Familiarity with retail admin systems, and trade promotional calendars.
+ Able to work alongside marketing to create retail trading plans and drive demand to site.
+ Confident and capable of generating new business, and in managing demanding retail customers.
+ Understands the pressures and expectations retailers place on suppliers and knows how to align internal teams to deliver on them.
+ Analytical and commercially focused, with experience managing budgets and exceeding sales targets.
+ Proven track record of setting and achieving commercial KPIs.
+ Able to influence cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders with ease. Able to present confidently and meet retailers with authority.
+ Comfortable representing the brand in internal strategy discussions and external retail meetings.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a commercially savvy and proactive National Account Manager to join our growing Retail team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and driving growth across some of our largest UK national retail partners, spanning both physical store and digital platforms. You will play a key role in delivering commercial success through strategic account development, operational excellence, and exceptional customer management.
Reporting to the Chief Retail Officer (CRO), you will be both a strategic thinker and a detail-oriented executor, comfortable navigating complex retailer relationships, meeting revenue targets, and influencing internally to deliver the best possible service.

REPORTING TO THE CHIEF RETAIL OFFICER (CRO) YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING:

  • Ownership of key national accounts. Oversee the day-to-day management of major UK retail customers, serving as their main point of contact.
  • Lead all forecasting, trade promotion planning, and budget tracking to ensure accurate and timely execution.
  • Achieve commercial targets and contribute to the development and implementation of the wider sales strategy.
  • Ensure customer-specific requirements, operational standards, and compliance expectations are met across the organisation.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with buyers and key stakeholders to secure growth opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams including marketing, supply chain, and operations to deliver seamless customer support and successful promotional execution.
  • Analyse account performance, identify trends, and recommend strategies to maximise revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as ambassador for Ancient + Brave, upholding our values and vision in every interaction.
