Description
Job Title National Account Manager – COREtec Floors (New Zealand Market) Position Overview In 2012, COREtec® sparked a revolution in the world of hard flooring. What makes us different? A 100% waterproof core and a durable cork underlay. A new category of high‑quality multilayer flooring was born: COREtec®. We're the original — and you can feel it. Today, COREtec is part of Shaw Industries, a global Berkshire Hathaway flooring group, and this is your opportunity to help grow an established international brand as it expands across the Australian and New Zealand markets. We're looking for a National Key Account Manager to take ownership of the COREtec Floors brand across the New Zealand market — a hands-on, service-led role for someone who builds trusted, long-term partnerships and enjoys being close to their customers. You'll manage and grow a key national account in New Zealand, making sure partners are well supported, their teams are trained and confident, and COREtec remains their first choice for flooring. Reporting directly to the APAC management team and acting as the primary face of the brand across New Zealand, you'll guide customers through ordering, service and growth — backed by a leading global flooring group under Berkshire Hathaway. This role is based in Australia — Sydney preferred — with regular travel to New Zealand, and a strong understanding of the New Zealand market is essential. Responsibilities Account Management: Build, maintain and grow relationships across the New Zealand account and its network, serving as the primary point of contact and partnering with senior decision-makers, including managing directors, operations managers, and regional sales managers. Customer Service & Support: Guide partners through ordering, product selection and after-sales support, providing the responsiveness and assurance a high-touch account depends on. Sales Training: Conduct in-person training for retail and distribution partners across New Zealand to give their teams the tools and confidence to sell COREtec effectively. Presentations: Deliver clear, professional brand presentations to clients and stakeholders. Travel: Regular travel to New Zealand — including Auckland, Wellington and regional centres — is required, with frequent trans-Tasman trips (roughly 30%+ of your time in-market). Reporting: Provide straightforward, analytical updates to the APAC management team on market conditions, account health, and sales progress. Requirements Experience: Minimum 3 years in a professional sales role. New Zealand Market: Experience working in or with the New Zealand market, and a genuine understanding of how business is done there. Travel: A genuine willingness to travel to New Zealand frequently. Working Rights: Must have valid Australian working rights. Location: Based in Sydney (NSW); Melbourne (VIC) considered. Soft Skills: A consultative, relationship-led approach — patient, empathetic and organized, with the confidence to present to groups. Technical Knowledge: No prior technical flooring knowledge is required; we will provide the necessary product training. Highly Preferred Experiences Established relationships and networks within the New Zealand market. 5+ years of B2B sales experience in building products, flooring, or interiors. A consultative, service-led selling style — guiding customers through ordering and building long-term trust, rather than a purely transactional approach. A track record of managing key accounts and presenting to C-suite and senior decision-makers. Strong digital acumen — confident using CRM systems for reporting and building account plans. Familiarity with trans-Tasman business and travel. A genuine motivation for frequent travel and being close to customers in-market.
