Reports To: Sales & Marketing Director
Business Unit: Hobart UK Service
Purpose of Job: To manage, retain and maximise revenue from existing portfolios, to identify and secure service agreements with new customers in the agreed segments

  • Numeracy is key, ability to quickly gain an understanding of commercial agreements to maximise opportunities for the business. This will require analysing existing customer reports from multiple data sources.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Powerpoint, Teams and Excel.
  • Experience using databases would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the food equipment / commercial kitchen environment / Service industry market is required.
  • Experience working with procurement teams in private and public sector advantageous.
    The role will require you to travel in order to manage customer relationships. So you’ll understand the importance of being present in the field to strengthen connections and seize opportunities.
    It’s imperative you’ll have experience in food equipment, after sales service or OEM.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a National Account Manager at Hobart UK Service, you’ll be an ambassador for the Hobart and ITW brands, to nurture and maintain strong trusted relationships with stakeholders and customers, managing, retaining and maximising revenue from existing portfolios and identifying / securing service agreements with new customers in the agreed segments.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Act as the lead point of contact for all National Account commercial matters within a designated portfolio, working closely with internal teams, stakeholders & customers
  • Deliver the monthly sales and gross margin targets against the plan
  • To actively seek, prospect and generate new business opportunities to achieve set revenue plans
  • Collaborate with your team to uphold industry-leading standards and compliance

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

A National Account Manager (NAM) for Hobart Service is an ambassador for the Hobart and ITW brands, to nurture and maintain strong trusted relationships with stakeholders and customers.

The role includes:

  • Acting as the lead point of contact for all National Account commercial matters, working closely with all Hobart Service teams.
  • Management of accounts, real attention to detail and a passion for achieve the best customer outcomes.
  • Being able to oscillate between working alone and collaborating with the customers, stakeholders and colleagues
  • Developing internal processes to ensure best practice and legal compliance is achieved and continuously improved to minimise risk to the business performance and reputation.
  • Identify and communicate with the team any factors that may affect the customer retention, contact renewal or revenue forecast.
  • Deliver the monthly sales and gross margin targets against the Plan
  • Responsibility for managing and maintaining each portfolio, in order to do this the NAM is required to:
  • Present regular sales update for the portfolio and an in-depth quarterly business review;
  • Develop portfolio plans each quarter (detailing key information on customer insight, visions, growth strategies and competitor activity reviews);
  • Prepare and adapt account development portfolio and segment plans, against ITW’s processes.
  • To actively seek, prospect and generate large new business opportunities to achieve the plan
  • Produce proposals, quotations and tenders/bids
  • Ensure that our systems and CRM is updated.
  • Performance Indicators
  • Regular visits to Peterborough office (2/3 days a week)
  • Be a brand ambassador understanding Hobart products/ services and the FEG market. Building relationships with the team, stakeholder and customers – understanding internal and customer processes and needs (contracts, service portals etc.);
  • Sales Targets: Achieve annual revenue and gross margin targets;
  • Maintain portfolio pipeline.
  • Manage customer relationships.
