  • The range provided is based on cost of living/geography and what we believe is reasonable in the market at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for annual bonus and annual merit increase, as well as long term compensation. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors.

How You’ll Perform the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven National Accounts Manager to support our Specialty and Retail business. As a National Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans within your assigned territory and book of business. Your primary focus will be to drive volume and profitability across both new and existing accounts, while fostering long-term customer relationships. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a deep understanding of packaging, print, production, and the retail market. The role is best suited for someone based in the West Central area of the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with support teams to develop and implement sales strategies, goals, and targets.
  • Achieve sales goals and execute sales plans within the assigned territory, focusing on volume, profit, and growth.
  • Communicate directly with current and potential customers to build and maintain strong relationships and understand their needs.
  • Secure and maintain product distribution by establishing and maintaining effective agreements and relationships.
  • Demonstrate product features, advantages, and benefits, and assist customers in their optimal application.
  • Apply persuasive sales techniques to engage prospects and clearly communicate the value of our products.
  • Perform market field promotion work to identify opportunities for business expansion.
  • Provide ongoing account support, including forecasting, managing pricing, product warranty claims, and receivables.
  • Conduct field research and prospecting activities to identify and capitalize on opportunities in target markets.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities to drive profitable sales growth.
  • Maintain a proactive, robust and well-qualified pipeline of opportunities to ensure a consistent flow of potential sales.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, including the antitrust code of conduct, and uphold ethical business practices.
  • Demonstrate success in selling packaging to direct accounts as well as through distribution.Manage the full sales cycle
  • -from prospecting and closing to post-sale follow-up and account nurturing.

What We Need From You

CRITICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS degree preferred in business, sales/marketing or related field.
  • Must have 5+ years of previous sales and account management experience.
  • Proven success in working with retail accounts including national chains, specialty retailers, and home delivery platforms.
  • Experience in the custom packaging industry is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging materials, production, and print processes.
  • Must be able to travel frequently (50%) including some overnight travel.
  • Demonstrated skills and attributes include initiative, follow-up, problem-solving, negotiation, and persuasive communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Ability to perform independently while also collaboratively effectively across the organization.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
