Haywood & Padgett is a family-run bakery based in Barnsley, proud to be the world leader in traditional English scones. Our products delight clients across retail, airline catering, and commercial foodservice sectors. Under our sister brand, nibnibs, we also offer a premium range of snacks, including breadsticks, mini biscuits, and cookies.
We are now seeking a driven and commercially savvy National Account Manager to lead the growth of our snacks division. This role will focus on expanding our presence in airline, retail, and foodservice channels across the UK and international markets.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years’ proven success in snack or baked goods sales, preferably within airline catering or foodservice.
  • Strong network within airline catering or commercial distribution sectors.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with a consistent track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel for business development and industry events.
  • Knowledge of food safety, B2B product customization, and export logistics is an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across airline catering, commercial foodservice, and wholesale sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and technical teams to meet client specifications and delivery requirements.
  • Represent Haywood & Padgett at trade shows, sales meetings, and client presentations, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Prepare tailored sales pitches, product presentations, and proposals to win new business.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and service agreements to achieve commercial targets.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy and identify growth opportunities.
