The National Automation and Mechanical Packaging Manager is responsible for spearheading significant sales growth and strategic initiatives within our packaging automation business nationwide. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of the business to maximize market share, expand our distribution network, and enhance customer satisfaction through superior service. We are seeking a strategic leader with extensive expertise in packaging automation, a demonstrated track record of developing high-growth sales strategies, and exceptional skills in team management, customer relations, and operational efficiency. Duties and Responsibilities:  * Design and implement a comprehensive national packaging automation sales strategy focused on achieving substantial revenue growth and exceeding ambitious sales targets. * Leverage expertise to grow packaging sales * Strategically grow and manage the national automation equipment sales pipeline, aiming to maintain a robust funnel that exceeds sales goals. * Identify and capitalize on opportunities to increase sales territory size and volume by targeting new strategic distribution partners and cultivating organic customer growth. * Maintain and expand sales volume amidst market changes by strategically leading, motivating, and training existing and new distributors and their sales representatives. * Engage proactively with sales representatives, vendors, and customers to drive sales, manage key national vendor relationships, and ensure alignment on strategic objectives. * Develop and manage a National Automation Service Department, implementing procedures to ensure top-tier customer satisfaction.  * Oversee the successful execution of capital expenditure projects, from proposal development to on-time implementation. * Utilize expertise in facility layout to recommend automation solutions that maximize production flow and efficiencies for customers. * Manage the on-time development of effective sales presentation and training tools that increase distributor mindshare, enthusiasm, and enrollment in sales training programs. * Drive customer process improvement initiatives, using detailed automation and packaging product analysis to maximize cost reduction and enhance customer cost savings. * Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets, and develop compelling, data-driven project proposals.   Experience and Skill Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Packaging is required. (An MBA or post-graduate degree is a plus). * Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in automation and mechanical packaging, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. * Prior corrugated packaging background is strongly preferred. * Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, as well as Google G-Suite. * Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data and translate it into clear, executive-level strategic recommendations. * Excellent customer interfacing skills. * Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team. * Superior organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and oral). * Demonstrated strategic thinking, priority setting, and action-oriented execution.
