Job Description We’re seeking a dynamic National Commercial Manager to collaborate with leadership and deliver exceptional financial and commercial expertise. In this pivotal role, you will support the Business Controller and Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) team in driving strategic planning, optimizing financial performance, and delivering commercial excellence. As a National Commercial Manager based in Perth, you will collaborate closely with the Business Controller and Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) team to provide expert commercial advice and support across our Lines of Business. Your responsibilities will include, however not limited to: Driving Growth: Analyze financial and commercial trends, offering insights to enhance performance and maximize opportunities for growth and improved margins. Commercial Support: Deliver best practice advice on contracts, tenders, and bids to ensure strong margins and return on investment. Capital Expenditure Oversight: Monitor and report on capital expenditure, endorsing major projects that align with the company’s strategy. Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear reporting and secure stakeholder commitment to deliver actionable plans. Pricing Strategy: Lead pricing reviews in line with company guidelines to optimize margin opportunities. Strategic Development: Support the business in crafting and executing strategies for operational efficiency, margin improvement, and growth. Strategy, Long-Term Planning, Budget, and Forecast Support the development and improvement of budget and forecast tools, ensuring seamless processes and impactful analytics. Lead the planning process, including schedules, guidance, and tools, collaborating with Line of Business (LOB) General Managers to align financial targets with strategic goals. Assist in preparing CAPEX and new business case proposals, ensuring sound evaluations, alignment to strategy, and actionable recommendations. Oversee and report on capital and projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and risk mitigation. Commercial Support Partner with General and Business Managers to enhance financial performance and provide pricing guidance for contracts. Drive pricing initiatives, including annual price reviews, ensuring no margin dilution due to inflation. Support bids, tenders, and contracts, including negotiation with external stakeholders such as suppliers and clients. Analyze business performance to identify areas of improvement and support necessary changes to achieve optimal financial results. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to analyze commercial opportunities and build detailed costing models. Provide M&A support, including financial evaluations, synergy reviews, scenario planning, and due diligence. Manage insurance coordination and conduct general contract reviews. Monthly Reporting and Business Performance Partner with leadership to drive financial performance and advise on pricing strategies. Deliver insights on financial and operational correlations to guide decision-making. Conduct regular reviews of pricing achievements, ensuring adherence to pricing excellence initiatives. Qualifications Essential Qualifications Include: Business degree or professional accounting qualification. Extensive experience in a commercial analysis and contract interpretation Experience in finance functions and accounting principles Well-developed service orientation – ability to discover and meet the needs of the customer. Extensive experience in identification and process improvement. Desirable Qualifications include: Multi-business activity experience. Management training and experience.
