CHEPSTOW - NATIONAL DEPOT MANAGER

Salary: 50,000 per annum
Shift: Monday - Friday- These hours are flexible depending on the business needs (45 hour contract)
Bond International is a major distributor of tyres in the UK. We have our Chepstow Depot in addition to our six existing depots to accommodate our expanding business.
Bond International operates a B2B tyre distribution service and acts as a dedicated 3PL to some of the leading tyre brands. We cover the entirety of the UK and deliver to independent and chain garages alike.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and committed individual with good experience of Warehouse Management and a strong history of managing people to establish and develop our Chepstow transport operation as part of that team.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
• Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, apprising and reviewing job contributions.
• Plan and review compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
• Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends.
• Analyse and improve organisational processes and workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
• Accomplish operations and organisation mission by completing related results as needed.
• Responsible for all department managers and supervisors, with review/approval personalities for all operations employees. Run a safe, injury/accident-free workplace.
• Communication customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and streamlining of the operations process.
• Work closely with the Board of Directors and management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation.
• Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.
