POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven National Director of Sales to lead all sales efforts across our portfolio of hotels and resorts, Resort Management by Travel + Leisure, Club Wyndham South Pacific and Accor Vacation Club.
In this exciting newly created role. the National Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing the overall sales strategy for the hotel group, driving revenue growth, and overseeing the sales across multiple locations. This role will collaborate with the senior leadership team, marketing, and hotel & resort operations leaders, to develop innovative strategies that align with company goals and enhance our market position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in hotel and resort sales or in a senior sales leadership role, ideally within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Strong knowledge of hotel sales strategies, distribution channels, and revenue management practices.
- Strong background in corporate, inbound, wholesale, and Tour Groups, with a deep understanding of the sales processes, including RFPs and direct proposals.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and locations.
- A deep understanding of the hotel market, including corporate, leisure, and group business segments.
- Availability for occasional travel as needed.
This role is based at TRYP Hotel Adelaide and must have a strong understanding of the Adelaide Corporate market with key relationships already established.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Design, implement, and manage national sales strategies to maximize profitability, optimize room occupancy, and generate new business.
- Corporate Inbound, Wholesale & Group Sales: Utilize your strong expertise in corporate, inbound, wholesale distribution channels, and group business to drive significant revenue from high-value accounts and partnerships.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate accounts, travel agents, MICE, Airlines and industry partners to drive long-term business opportunities,
- Revenue Generation: Collaborate with the revenue management team to implement pricing strategies and yield management that maximize revenue per available room (RevPAR).
- Market Research & Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Brand Promotion: Work closely with the marketing department to create compelling promotional materials and campaigns that align with our brand’s vision and objectives.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing coaching and development to the sales team, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and knowledge to succeed.
