You’ll oversee a portfolio of key Education clients and provide thought leadership across Aon and the market. You will work closely with senior leadership, State Education Leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service and innovative solutions that support growth and retention across the Education portfolio. The National Education Practice Lead is a key driver of our long-term growth ambitions in the Education segment and will play a pivotal role in elevating Aon’s presence and influence within this sector. What the day will look like: Strategic Leadership • Lead Aon’s national Education Practice and act as the senior sector voice across the organisation and market. • Manage a portfolio of key Education clients, demonstrating exceptional client leadership and sector insight. • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with Education clients nationally, positioning Aon as a trusted advisor. • Provide risk management insights, analysis and thought leadership to elevate Aon’s presence and influence within the Education sector. Client Engagement & Service Excellence • Design and implement national service strategies that drive consistent client experience and support portfolio retention. • Ensure seamless connectivity across the Aon network by coordinating and mobilising resources to deliver on client commitments. • Mentor and guide local service teams to promote consistency in delivery and strengthen capability across all states. Portfolio & Market Development • Conduct strategic reviews of client portfolios to identify solution opportunities and areas for innovation. • Collaborate closely with Placement teams on carrier engagement, product design and sector-specific placement strategies. • Provide expert oversight for bid and tender responses, ensuring high-quality submissions that reflect Aon’s Education value proposition. Skills and experience that will lead to success: This position will suit someone with the following experience and attributes: • Extensive insurance broking and strategic client management experience. • Recent experience working within the Education sector, ideally with religious or independent schools. • Strong understanding of a wide range of placement structures (including non-traditional solutions such as discretionary funds and excess of loss – desirable but not essential). • Proven ability to collaborate and influence across multiple internal stakeholders. • Ability to set and execute strategic direction for a sector portfolio, including innovation across product and service delivery. • Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify solution opportunities for clients. • Highly effective influencer with credibility across clients, peers and the broader industry. • Tier 1 insurance broking qualification (essential). • A positive attitude, eye for detail and commitment to high-quality outcomes.
