The US Key Account Manager for Kimberly-Clark Professional (KCP) is responsible for achieving or exceeding market segment penetration, sales volume, and profitability goals by identifying, developing, and capitalizing on significant Key Account end user opportunities. These end users are typically large, multi-location customers who establish national pricing contracts to service all their locations, and include industries such as Commercial Real Estate Property Management, Building Service Contractors, Managed Services, Lodging, High Traffic, Food Service, and Entertainment. Managed Services and High Traffic accounts will be the primary customer focus for this position.
Key Account Managers work collaboratively with KCP internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Channel Managers, Hybrid Sales Teams, Digital Sales Teams, Demand Generation Teams, Pricing Teams, and Data Analytics Teams. They leverage their marketplace perspective and experience to develop and execute effective business plans focused on market segment, accounts, and products. Key Account Managers participate in National or Regional market segment meetings and focus group discussions with internal stakeholders to develop and review market segment strategies that ensure business goals are realistic, attainable, clearly communicated, and consistently implemented. They also regularly research trends and issues relevant to their customers and attend relevant trade shows and conferences.
This position requires extensive national and regional travel (up to 50% of the time) and must be managed with complete integrity in accordance with Corporate and Sector policies, systems, practices, and programs.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, convey and execute written business plans to achieve individual and team objectives. Business plans will focus on selecting and penetrating strategic Key Accounts through individual and collaborative efforts.
  • Develop and expand executive level contacts and relationships within assigned Key Account end user portfolio, across multiple business units or functions within the end user, and be able to clearly articulate the value KCP brings to drive mutually agreeable business objectives.
  • Provide timely feedback on objectives, projects, workload, budgets, or other issues that could affect objectives on at least a monthly basis.
  • Be an active and highly effective member of the Key Accounts team in developing and implementing programs and strategies to meet Key Account objectives.
  • Create and execute Key Account Sales Campaigns from beginning to end, maximizing sales growth for each Key Account Customer
  • Coordinate with Global Key Account Managers, Regional Director of Sales, District Managers, and Digital Sales Managers the plans for identifying and converting Key Account locations across the country.
  • Actively participate in Regional and/or District sales meetings to ensure Key Account sales plans are communicated, understood and achieved.
  • Regularly communicate on the status of plans and programs, competitive activity, pricing, risks and opportunities that could impact results.
  • Actively support the development of Key Account team members by mentoring new team members and by sharing Key Account, market segment and KCP knowledge and experience.
  • Establish and maintain highly effective business partnerships with distributors focusing on Key Accounts.
  • Establish joint strategies with distribution partners to accelerate Key Account growth.
  • Ensure Kimberly-Clark Key Account agreements are clearly communicated and effectively implemented at all locations.
  • Establish, maintain, audit and review contractual “Corporate Agreements” for large multi-location end users at the corporate headquarters level to improve penetration of these accounts across the site level with the goal being 100% compliance.
  • Consistently document and maintain detailed account and opportunity history by utilizing salesforce.com for each Key Account

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred candidate possesses extensive knowledge of Commercial Segments (Commercial Real Estate, Property Management, Building Services, Lodging, High Traffic, Food Service and Entertainment) and applicable distribution channels within the market segment.
  • Five or more years of documented sales success and experience in related markets
  • Proof of a successful track record
