National Manager Fostering.
Salary: £57,000 per annum plus Out of Hours rota at £1,200pa pro rata.
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
Contract: Permanent – 37 hours per week.

HOW YOU’LL HELP TO CREATE BRIGHTER FUTURES

· Leading the development and expansion of fostering services throughout Scotland and the effective recruitment, assessment and approval of foster carers
· Leading on the fostering business planning process using market intelligence and service demand
· Performance management and development of staff.
· Leading by example to ensure the service delivers and achieves high practice and operational standards required through internal and external registration and inspection.
· Utilising systems and databases (e.g. CHARMS) to prepare or obtain timely, high quality operational/performance analysis report to respond to safeguarding, regulatory, health and safety and quality issues.
· Delivering high quality financial analysis, control/risk management of budgets.
· Negotiating contracts and commissions to maximise commercial value for Action for Children.

· Social Work Qualification is necessary.
· Evidence of ongoing management training and development, including to ensure maintenance of professional qualifications or membership(s).
· Experience of ensuring effective safeguarding practice and process is applied and adhered to and embedded as a core aspect of the service.
· Extensive working knowledge and understanding of the current legislations and frameworks regarding Children Social Work and of Fostering agenda, including key policy drivers.
· Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen and awareness through management of budgets, costing and analytics.
· Negotiating and consultative skills and experience especially in relation to collaborating with strategic stakeholders.
· Considerable experience in successfully managing, motivating, and inspiring teams of qualified team managers and social workers.
· Considerable experience of successful management, development, and delivery of fostering services for children, young people, and their families within the regulatory and inspection frameworks.
