About the Role: An opportunity to join Lendlease as National Manager of Government and Industry Affairs, in an integral role responsible for strengthening stakeholder relationships across government and industry bodies. You will work alongside the General Manager Corporate Affairs and heads of business Corporate, Development, Construction and Investment Management to lead the development and delivery of a highly effective government and industry engagement program. This will be supported by the successful articulation of Lendlease’s policy positions in line with business objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Proactive engagement with Government and key stakeholders at a national and state level in Australia to support company objectives Monitoring policy and advocacy issues, and providing strategic insights and counsel to senior internal stakeholders concerning issues of key significance Collaboration with and participation in effective dialogue with relevant external stakeholders on industry-wide matters, including key industry associations and regulators to plan and achieve public policy outcomes Coordination and management of the National and State PCG for Government Relations. Development of key communications including briefing papers, messaging and speeches for the business leaders as required. Representing Lendlease at government or industry meetings and events where appropriate. About you: You will have experience building and managing strong relationships and be adept at communicating the organisation’s position on business, political and industry matters with key stakeholders. You’ll have the ability to manage multiple priorities and fast-moving situations and issues. You will have significant public affairs, public policy, industry or government relations experience at a senior level. You will also have: Proven ability to design and execute government and industry relations strategies within a matrix business environment at a national and state level Proven ability to manage complex public policy matters and identify business opportunities stemming from public policy Demonstrable experience of planning and executing external engagement strategies and influencing change Experience and ability to understand the significance of a wide range of policy issues and identify risks and opportunities A well-established contacts network, including at state and national government level, business and industry groups - property sector experience advantageous About us: We are committed to developing and retaining the best people and provide the best possible learning and development opportunities.
