The National Operations Centre (NOC) Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous safety, coordination, and support of our security services across the company’s operations nationally.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Valid Victorian security industry licence (Required)
  • First Aid & CPR Certifications (Required).
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia and pass a national police check (Required)
  • Strong situational awareness and decision-making under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure, fast-paced control room environment.
  • Proficient in using security systems, communication tools, and reporting software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Previous experience in a security control room, emergency response, or central monitoring environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with guard management platforms (e.g., GuardTek / Guardhouse).

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The NOC Operator plays a pivotal role in the central coordination and support of nationwide security operations. Based in our state-of-the-art National Operations Centre in Port Melbourne, the NOC Operator is responsible for monitoring live security systems, dispatching personnel, responding to incidents, and ensuring continuous and effective protection for all client sites. This role is integral to delivering a high standard of service and upholding the safety and integrity of our operations.

  • Rotating Roster: 6PM-6AM. Working 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the following week.
  • Stationed at a secure operations centre.
  • May involve prolonged periods of sitting and monitoring systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a NOC Operator, your core duties will include:

  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, access control, GPS tracking, and guard tour systems to ensure security compliance across client sites.
  • Identify, assess, and respond to security threats or incidents, dispatching patrols or emergency services as required.
  • Coordinate guard movements, confirm check-ins, manage no-shows, and provide on-site guidance during incidents.
  • Act as the central communication hub between field staff, management, and clients, ensuring clear and timely updates.
  • Maintain accurate incident logs, reports, and shift handovers in line with company standards.
  • Conduct equipment checks, troubleshoot issues, and report faults to technical teams.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, safety protocols, and data protection requirements.
