Since 2016, IOM has been operating in the Comoros, working on voluntary return and reintegration of vulnerable migrants; migration governance; disaster risk management; counter-trafficking; border and immigration management; and diaspora mobilization. IOM is implementing the European Union funded project “Regional Responses to Climate Displacement in Sub-Saharan Africa – RE2CLID”, whose overall objective is that Displacement-Affected Communities (DACs) living in areas at risk of either disaster or other adverse effects of climate change, environmental degradation, and correlated stressors are resilient and self-reliant; and is recruiting a National Project Officer for its Country Office in Moroni. Under the direct supervision of the Head of Office (HoO) in Comoros the National Project Officer will carry out the following duties and responsibilities:
Responsibilities
The National Project Officer will be responsible for implementing the RE2CLID project, focusing on enhancing the resilience and self-reliance of Displacement-Affected Communities. This role involves direct supervision by the Head of Office in Comoros.
