Overview: We are actively recruiting highly qualified National Registry Paramedics and EMTs to support the operational staffing needs of a Fire & EMS Department. In this role, you will be deployed for station-based assignments on a temporary, full-time basis to ensure the safety and well-being of the campus and surrounding community. Candidates must be prepared to be on-site and working within two weeks of their assignment request. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality, station-based emergency medical care and pre-hospital life support. Safely operate ambulances and quick response medical vehicles during emergency and non-emergency transports. Respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and administer appropriate medical interventions following state and local protocols. Provide medical coverage for special events taking place on and around the Clemson University campus. Maintain readiness of vehicles, medical equipment, and station facilities. Collaborate effectively with university officials, local fire department personnel, and other emergency responders. Shift & Schedule Options We are seeking adaptable professionals who can accommodate various scheduling needs. Candidates should indicate their availability for the following shift categories: Station-Based: 24-hours on-duty / 48-hours off-duty Special Events: 4 to 12-hour shifts Rotational: 12-hour or 24-hour shifts every 6 days Standard: 40-hour work week Required Qualifications Certification: Active National Registry EMT (NREMT) or Paramedic (NRP) certification. Vehicle Operation: Certified and cleared to safely operate an ambulance or quick response medical vehicle (e.g., EVOC or equivalent). Licensure: Eligible to practice as an EMT or Paramedic within the state of South Carolina. Timeline: Ability to complete the credentialing process and be on-site working within 2 weeks of an assignment request. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working alongside or directly within a Fire Department setting is highly preferred. Local to the Clemson, SC area, or ability to easily commute to the region for station assignments.
