This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a National Reimbursement Senior Manager in the United States. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead national reimbursement efforts for emerging Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs across multiple states. The Senior Manager will drive funding strategies, oversee the full lifecycle of reimbursement applications, and ensure alignment with regulatory and operational requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Legal, Finance, Operations, Data & Analytics, and Materials, while managing relationships with external stakeholders such as local governments, haulers, and recyclers. This position requires strong analytical and operational expertise, business case development skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your insights will directly impact program performance, compliance, and operational efficiency across state initiatives. \n Accountabilities: Lead reimbursement strategy and execution across California and emerging EPR states, ensuring transparency, consistency, and regulatory compliance. Oversee the full lifecycle of reimbursement applications, including receipt, review, validation, analysis, and approval. Develop and refine reimbursement policies, frameworks, methodologies, and operating procedures across multiple states. Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Operations, Data & Analytics, Finance, Materials) to ensure thorough, multidisciplinary review and information flow. Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies and service providers, to guide accurate submissions and ensure compliance. Manage funding visibility, support budgeting and fee-setting activities, and provide recommendations on funding allocation and risk mitigation. Identify opportunities to build and mentor a high-performing reimbursement team while ensuring process efficiency and accuracy. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in finance, economics, environmental studies, or related field preferred. 8+ years of professional experience in reimbursement, financial program management, claims analysis, waste/recycling operations, or similar sectors. Strong familiarity with EPR programs (e.g., California SB 54, Oregon RMA, Colorado PRO) preferred. Proven ability to develop business cases, conduct financial and operational analyses, and make data-driven funding decisions. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional, geographically distributed teams. Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage ambiguity while delivering actionable solutions. Benefits: Competitive salary range of $132,000–$173,300 annually.
