Description
Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days from home) B-Corp company with multi-award winning products (Good Design x4, Red Dot x2 and many others) Customer-centric team (4.8 / 5 star rating out of 3000+ customer reviews) Hi, we’re Eva — Welcome home. With our laser focus on bringing more thoughtful design to your everyday life, come join us as we help make more people feel at home with Eva. People are a huge part of the way we work at Eva, and we believe in caring for each other, ourselves, our community and our customers. We value honesty and authenticity and work together with humility to make things happen! When the team wins, we all win. If this sounds like a team you'd like to be part of, read on below. What’s the day to day like? Eva has opened two architecturally-led showrooms in the past two years, and we intend to continue expanding. As the National Retail & Trade Manager, you’re a commercially driven leader who will play a key role in ensuring each new store launches successfully, ramps predictably, and strengthens the existing network. Whether that’s on the showroom floor, in performance conversations, and in front of key trade partners. You’re obsessed with what makes stores win: sharp execution, disciplined KPIs, great people, and a customer experience that converts. At the core of it, this is a hands-on, multi-site leadership role with a strong growth mandate. You’ll own the performance of Eva’s showrooms nationally, while also building and accelerating our trade and B2B sales engine, with meaningful revenue outcomes over the next 12 months. This role is perfect for someone who wants to be at the helm of building a scalable retail and trade engine. What you'll be doing Retail Leadership & Store Performance Own the total commercial performance of all Eva showrooms across Australia, delivering revenue and profit targets. Set and manage clear KPIs aligned to company goals (sales, conversion, AOV, productivity and cost control). Hold Showroom Managers accountable for their store’s performance, including full ownership of individual P&L and budgets. Coach and develop Showroom Managers to build high-performing, commercially disciplined teams. Drive measurable retail performance improvement through structured review, feedback, and action plans. Multi-Site Operations Lead the operational performance of all stores through Showroom Managers, ensuring each location is run to a consistently high standard. Implement and enforce SOPs covering VM, store presentation, compliance, and daily execution. Ensure stores operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with brand standards. Regularly visit stores to audit execution, reinforce standards, and identify operational gaps early. Sales Growth (Trade, B2B) Own trade and B2B sales including prospecting, pitching, negotiating, and closing. Build and maintain relationships with commercial partners, interior designers, and developers to ensure a pipeline of opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth fulfilment and account management. Growth & New Store Openings Lead new store openings end-to-end: planning, hiring, training, launch execution, and performance ramp-up. Work with the Founders to shape and execute retail priorities for the next 12 months. Reporting & Commercial Management Monitor sales performance and performance drivers across retail and trade channels, producing weekly and monthly reporting. Own store-level cost control and contribute to budgeting and forecasting, partnering cross-functionally with department leaders to deliver company targets. What you look like: 5+ years in a multi-site retail leadership role (Regional/State/National). Proven track record lifting store performance in a sales-led environment Strong commercial skills: KPI management, labour optimisation, reporting, and performance improvement. Experience in premium or “considered purchase” retail is highly valued (e.g. furniture, electronics, lifestyle, specialty). Skills & Leadership Style Sales-obsessed and customer-obsessed — you love winning through great service. A doer — you lead from the floor and move fast. Confident coach and people leader — you build Showroom Managers into leaders. Comfortable holding teams accountable while keeping culture strong. Strong communication skills — can influence across teams and externally with partners. Commercial & Sales Capability Comfortable pitching, negotiating, and closing deals. Able to prospect and build relationships with trade and wholesale accounts. Understands how to integrate online and in-store journeys (e-commerce awareness). Travel Comfortable travelling nationally as required (including occasional multi-day trips) Benefits Support for any course, conference or training that will help us mutually grow, ears and budget for any wild (but justifiable) ideas. An autonomous work environment where there is never a regular ‘days work’. Flexible work - we’re proud to say that we had WFH before WFH became a thing All the coffee/ tea/ beers/ kombucha you need. Free anniversary mattress and generous friend/family discounts. Regular team events (prev. events have included the Australian open, cooking classes & escape rooms). A diverse culture and a bunch of really lovely people. We’d love to see your application if you consider yourself to be an operational, commercial wizard and aren’t afraid to think outside of the box. Cosiest, Amanda from Eva
