Responsibilities

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • To drive the area teams towards achieving BATNZ Market Share, Volume & Profit objectives, through the successful implementation of account/channel plans & brand marketing strategies.
  • Provide clear direction & prioritisation of the trade marketing and distribution strategies across BATNZ to ensure all cyclical & project objectives are achieved.
  • Ensure that the field force adheres to all BAT prescribed systems, procedures and policies, including legal and internal system requirements.
  • Monitor and drive the availability/distribution of BAT brands with respect to the BATNZ’s market needs, in order to maximise brand exposure in key channels in line with corporate strategy.
  • To maximise productivity and quality of execution across the (BATNZ) field, highlighting needs for on the job training, staff development and providing the necessary motivation in order to ensure competitive advantage in the trade.
  • Coordination and reporting of all available BATNZ resources and budgets to ensure they are effectively used to achieve targets and objectives, such as TCP time, activity conversion, T&E, merchandising budgets and any workforce expenses.
  • Monitor and report into the Board Health & Safety Committee and/or Executive Team on the achievement of objectives outlined in the H&S Roadmap / Annual Plan and the H&S Scorecard
  • Coordinate and communicate between the trade, internal field force, external third-party field force and other internal teams to manage customer programs, gather and report market intelligence, maintain data accuracy, and ensure stakeholders are informed for effective planning and issue resolution.
  • Lead by example through role modelling BAT values and leadership capabilities, fostering a safe working culture, and sharing resources across teams to build organisational capability.
  • Develop people and performance by coaching, providing feedback, implementing development plans, identifying talent, and driving both team and personal growth towards business targets.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 7 years field management in an FMCG environment
  • Auckland based with the ability to travel
  • Proven people leadership experience
  • Proficient MS Word/Excel/Power Point & general computer skills
  • Highly developed written/spoken communication skills
  • Ability to provide strategic direction ensure effective implementation through team members
