DISCOVER THE OPPORTUNITY….

We’re looking for a driven National Sales Manager to lead the Sales function for OCA (Opal Cartons Australia), ensuring close collaboration with operations, supply chain and other Opal teams to deliver high-value, customer-centric outcomes.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

  • Lead Opal Cartons Austalia’s sales function to optimise business profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver optimal sales outcomes.
  • Create and execute a clear, performance-driven sales strategy aligned with OCA budget and 5 year Mid-term targets.
  • Build and maintain strong senior-level relationships with OCA customers, while supporting the sales team in managing broader customer connections.
  • Lead and support sales negotiations to meet or exceed budget expectations while managing risk, in collaboration with internal commercial, legal, operational, and supply chain teams.
  • Deliver the approved annual sales budget, including revenue and margin targets for OCA.
  • Oversee execution and compliance of customer contracts, optimising margin opportunities and ensuring adherence to commercial terms (e.g. payment terms, pricing adjustments, slow-moving stock management).
  • Ensure good knowledge of customer/market trends appropriate to OCA and champion development of OCA/Opal products to pursue commercially attractive opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior sales management or executive role.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in business management or demonstrated general management capability are desirable but not essential.
  • Prior experience in a Key Account Management (KAM) role preferred.
  • Proven success in leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs and ability to translate them into commercial opportunities (highly regarded).
  • Capability and ambition to progress into a broader sales leadership or General Manager role within 5 years
