Responsibilities

The National Sales Manager - Culture & Language Sales is responsible for developing and leading growth strategies for revenue and revenue share within National Indigenous TV network (NITV) television and digital sales portfolio, Audio’s linear and digital portfolio and the ‘In Language’ service offering.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer, this strategic role will see you doing the following:

  • Leading the implementation of each stream’s strategies in line with Divisional and Corporate Plans.
  • Leading the identification and co-ordination of contact with advertising media and creative agencies and existing and potential advertisers for NITV, SBS Audio & In Language
  • Identifying key, secondary and target clients; manage and optimise relationships with media agencies and direct clients to maximise revenue opportunities across the portfolio
  • Ensuring that monthly, quarterly, six-monthly and financial year sales budgets for NITV, Audio and In Language are achieved or exceeded.
  • Grow the sales revenue, in line with, or exceeding, the market advertising growth.
  • Partnering with Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer and National TV & Digital Sales Manager in setting, monitoring, communicating and modifying where necessary, trading policies for the sales operation.
  • Working with SBS Media Sales Executive Leadership team in undertaking strategic, business, and financial planning for the sales operation for the set financial years including sales forecasts, costs budgets, and operational efficiency improvement plans and phasing.
  • Leading and develop a true cross platform sales team while also having full budgetary and commercial accountability.
