Job Objective:  The National Sales Manager – Tool Division is responsible for driving the profitable growth of our premium tool portfolio across Australia. This division includes high-value pneumatic and battery-powered hand tools used in precision assembly applications. These products are supplied to high-value customers in sectors such as manufacturing, aviation, automotive, military, and mining.   This strategic role will focus on expanding market share through the development of new channels, strengthening existing relationships, and identifying emerging opportunities. The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader with strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of technical sales in industrial environments.   The role requires close collaboration with the National Channel Sales Manager to ensure alignment across direct and indirect sales strategies, and to maximise the effectiveness of all go-to-market activities.   Duties and Responsibilities:  Strategic Sales Leadership Develop and execute national sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and channels to market. Collaborate with the National Sales Director to align divisional goals with broader company objectives. Channel Development & Management Work collaboratively with the Channel Sales Manager to optimise channel performance and coverage. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors, partners, and key accounts. Evaluate and onboard new channel partners to expand market reach. Provide training and support to channel partners to ensure product knowledge and sales effectiveness. Customer Engagement Engage directly with high-value customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions. Lead negotiations and close complex sales deals with strategic accounts. Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.     Market Intelligence & Reporting Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy. Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market analysis to senior leadership. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support promotional activities and product launches.   Relationships:  Internal: Collaboration with Channel Sales Manager   External: Direct Engagement with high value customers Ensure Customer Satisfaction   Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Proven experience in a national sales leadership role, ideally within tools, industrial equipment, or technical products. Strong understanding of pneumatic and battery-powered hand tools and their applications. Demonstrated success in channel development and strategic account management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to travel nationally as required. Preferred Attributes Commercially driven with a passion for growth and innovation.
