Reporting to the Director, National Physical Security, the Manager, National Physical Security will be responsible for leading and overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Corporate Physical Security program within Western Canada.
This is an onsite role

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage performance and development of in-house security team members.
  • Ensure that all contracted services are being provided as per procurement and MSA requirements.
  • Organize and lead quarterly KPI sessions to review/validate performance with national providers.
  • Provide annual OPEX and CAPEX forecast inputs for all required services and projects.
  • Review and validate all supplier invoices for services to ensure alignment with MSA or quoted unit pricing.
  • Assist with installation of enterprise physical security systems at corporate locations including card access, video management and alarm systems.
  • Assist with response to site emergencies including but not limited to fire life/safety, power failures, medical emergencies, and trespass.
  • Provide internal physical security support and consulting to business units and leadership with respect to CCTV, Access Control, 3rd Party Alarm Monitoring, Locksmith Services, Executive Protection, Special Events, and requests for Physical Security Assessments/Audits.
  • Plan and prioritize operational and project assignments in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, requirements, and deadlines.
  • Identify and implement process and technology enhancements that align with the needs of the business.
  • Identify and implement cost savings and avoidance opportunities to ensure value for services received.
  • Maintain liaison with external groups and regulatory agencies to maintain knowledge of trends, developments, and advancements in the physical security industry.
  • Develop and maintain physical security audit tools and protocols.
  • Provide executive protection services to the Board of Directors, and Executive Leadership Team as required.
  • Lead the operational security planning for high profile company events.
  • Assist with the evaluation of international travel risk protocols.
  • Scheduling and supervision of recurring and on demand electronic countermeasure services.
