QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in marketing, business administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Demonstrated ability to plan and implement results-oriented sales and marketing activities within the medical device manufacturing space. Demonstrated ability to think and plan on the strategic level. Strong leadership and sound decision-making qualities. Willingness to travel.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least 10 years of progressive experience in a related industrial sales and marketing capacity, some of which must be in precision production machining and engineering. Experience with large publicly traded global organizations.
SKILLS ABILITIES: Exceptional communication, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, prospects, company personnel, independent representatives, and others at all levels. Strong strategic planning and project management skills.

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE:

The National Strategic Account Manager, Medical represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned medical device customers, while leading the customer account strategy and planning cycle to ensure attainment of mutually established goals. This role has a heavy emphasis on customer strategy, utilizing relationships and overseeing the customer experience to foster growth in assigned accounts. The Strategic Account Manager accomplishes success in this role through establishing and maintaining key relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while meeting or exceeding sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Maintain productive, professional relationships with personnel in key customer accounts.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, including support, manufacturing, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Coordinate organizational initiatives across multiple sites with assigned accounts – including pricing, product development and marketing.
  • Work closely alongside the commercial sales team to ensure customer success including order communication and resolution, manufacturing communication, customer experience management, and customer forecasting.
  • Identify priorities on all accounts and voice the customers’ needs and feedback to ensure the best plan is in place to complete the project.
  • Create a strong understanding of market dynamics and keep consistent pulse on key player and market movements, effectively aligning MultiSource strategy to capitalize on current and future trends.
  • Manage and coordinate internal cross functional teams to execute key account needs, including customer service, marketing, operations, engineering, and finance.
  • Develop robust strategic account plans that synthesize market and customer trends with customer relationship dynamics to meet both company and customer objectives.
  • Meet or exceed assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in key accounts.
  • Provide leadership and direction within MultiSource to execute strategic account planning processes that develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  • Assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Conduct new business development efforts within the medical industry .
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
  • Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and possible use in future company training.
  • Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
  • Other duties as assigned.
