This is a unique opportunity to help improve New Zealand’s financial integrity and security. About the role As Programme Manager, you’ll ensure the integrity, coherence and strategic alignment of the AML/CFT National Strategy Programme. You’ll establish and maintain a structured programme environment, oversee multiple projects, and drive initiatives that strengthen New Zealand’s AML/CFT regime. Your leadership will enable effective change and deliver tangible outcomes for the country. What you’ll do Develop and manage the overarching programme plan, governance structures, and reporting frameworks. Lead programme delivery, ensuring projects meet scope, time, and budget requirements. Build strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders, and partner agencies. Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and contribute to continuous improvement. Oversee risk management, financial controls, and quality assurance across all workstreams. What we’re looking for Proven experience managing complex project or programmes in government or regulatory environments. Strong knowledge of programme management methodologies (e.g., MSP) and financial oversight. Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to drive results across multi-stream programmes and foster a high-performance culture. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or programme management certification (desirable).
