Responsibilities

Are you a seasoned electrical professional with a passion for technical excellence and compliance? Do you thrive in a dynamic, multi-site environment where your leadership can directly impact operational quality and safety?
Atlas Workplace Services is seeking a National Technical Manager (Electrical) to oversee and drive our electrical safety, compliance, and quality assurance across our national portfolio. This is a home-based role with national travel, serving as the critical link between Atlas Engineering and our diverse client base.
In this senior technical role, you will manage company-wide electrical procedures, lead on permit-to-work systems, and support our operational teams with expert guidance, training, and robust compliance processes. Your leadership will ensure that our services meet the highest regulatory standards—including NICEIC—and that our engineers are competent, authorised, and supported to deliver outstanding work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead for Atlas’ Engineering Permit to Work systems nationally, reviewing and approving risk assessments and method statements.
  • Maintain and manage compliance with all company electrical procedures and relevant legislation, including NICEIC requirements.
  • Appoint, audit, and support Skilled and/or Competent Persons, ensuring their qualifications and performance meet required standards.
  • Ensure electrical documentation across all sites is compliant, complete, and properly maintained.
  • Provide technical training to internal staff and ensure accurate record-keeping of qualifications and development.
  • Review and approve all technical documentation submitted via self-delivery teams or subcontractors for closure within the CAFM system (Maximo).
  • Collaborate with operational management to identify cost-effective, compliant engineering solutions across multiple contracts and delivery streams.
