We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced National Workplace Manager to join our BNZ team at 80 Queen Street. This is a pivotal role for someone with proven experience in Workplace transformation and strategy. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing BNZ’s physical and strategic workplace functions on a national scale, working closely with the facilities and workplace experience team to deliver workplaces for now and future. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with our GM Properties, and they let us know the following about the role: What are some of the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Develop and deliver workplace strategy and transformation programmes, including business cases and financial management. Lead change management to ensure smooth implementation and stakeholder engagement. Forecast and manage supply and demand across the business, tracking performance against KPIs. Oversee workplace projects to organisational standards. Drive continuous improvement of workplace tools and processes to enhance productivity and space utilisation. Analyse and report on space utilisation to identify opportunities for improvement. Plan, coordinate, and deliver property strategies for corporate buildings. Work with GM of Properties to manage BNZ’s external 3rd party property management contract. You will have oversight of corporate and work with our National Property Manager to deliver financial planning, lease renewals, maintenance escalation and landlord relationships. What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? You will hit the ground running and be an integral part in the delivery of the final stages of our 3 year refurbishment project for BNZ Place Auckland. You will lead out change management with multiple stakeholders across BNZ, work alongside BNZ consultants and delivery partners to successfully complete the project on time, on budget and to BNZ standards. Alongside your proven leadership skills and experience in leading a team of property professionals in delivering great workplace outcomes, you will also have: Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and adapt to a dynamic corporate environment. What specific skills would be beneficial? We are looking for someone with a minimum 10+ years of Workplace and Property management experience, including negotiation and understanding of documentation/deeds. You will also bring: Experience in change and communication/delivery management of workplace projects. The ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders to achieve great outcomes for BNZers. Legal compliance experience – knowledge of building codes, consent process and Greenstar principles. The ability to develop strategic briefs and workplace strategies. Exceptional leadership and team management skills. Strong business and financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost control.
