What you will do… Work outside in some of the most beautiful parks in Ohio; Perform customer service functions with a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction and safety; Act as lead maintenance worker for utilizing carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and equipment operation skills; Maintain facilities, grounds, &/or equipment; Maintain a variety of park equipment and vehicles; Interact daily with a variety of customers who utilize the park & watercraft facilities; Starting hourly pay $22.60/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $25.77/hr. There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT: Pesticide applicator license as issued by Department of Agriculture required within one year of hire; positions operating watercraft must complete boat operator education course per Ohio Revised Code 1547.05.
