Description

As part of a team, you will deliver a range of nature, and biodiversity projects for our clients in the resource industry.

Establish nature policies, strategies and advise on no net loss/net gain and nature positive outcomes on behalf of our clients.

  • Develop Biodiversity and Nature evaluations (e.g. Biodiversity Footprinting) and extended mitigation strategies beyond the value chain for our clients. In future, this may include initiating projects and developing biodiversity credits.
  • Developing and implementing Biodiversity Action Plans (BAPs), especially in terms of updating Critical Habitat Assessments in alignment with IFC PS6 / GN6 and supporting critical habitat trigger species.
  • Advising on biodiversity design, restoration/ enhancement and integration of green infrastructure design and other nature-based solutions to secure biodiversity gain and strengthen climate change resilience measures.
  • Familiarity with Science-Based Targets (SBT) and/or Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) for resource-related projects for our primary clients.
  • Experience with integrating Biodiversity and Nature Services with other products and services such as sustainability reporting, Scope 3 emissions assessments, Life Cycle Analysis, and disclosures to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).
  • Supporting and project managing a wide variety of projects.
  • The preparation of high-quality proposals and client deliverables in nature positive space.
  • Identification and pursuit of opportunities to win additional work in the biodiversity stewardship field.
  • Development and maintenance of your knowledge of emerging issues in the nature and business field.

Qualifications

  • A Masters degree in Ecology, Conservation Science, or related field.

Working Experience

  • 5 - 10 years working experience conducting specialists studies.
  • A good working knowledge of international conservation frameworks and policies, Global Biodiversity Framework, the TNFD, and biodiversity offset principles, where applicable.
