We are seeking a highly motivated Nature-based Solutions intern to join the Princess Margriet Fund (PMF) team, an initiative of the Netherlands Red Cross. The intern will work with the PMF team in an agile set up, support different service pillars of the Fund and the Internation Federation of the Red Cross Red Cresent Societies (IFRC) network where possible for climate change adaptation, and specifically Nature-based Solutions (NbS). The intern will learn about the background of the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement on climate adaptation for disaster risk reduction, the urgency to scale up the efforts on reducing the impact of climate induced natural hazards to people and the ecosystem, available tools, the full project cycle of NbS, global partnership collaboration with WWF, TNC and IUCN, the communication of best practices and learnings from worldwide implementation, resource mobilization and the application of innovative finance for NbS.

• Explore and update funding trends, news and opportunities, donor mapping;
• Support partnership building together with IFRC and National Societies on WWF, TNC, IUCN and local partnerships;
• Conduct mapping of NbS projects worldwide, gathering best practices, showcases, case studies and learnings, create concise reports;
• Support editorial tasks for communication materials, for example, presentations, pitches, concept notes, proposals, ToRs, website etc.;
• Participate meetings and support with secretarial tasks;
• Support the Fund to co-lead IFRC NbS Working Group, ensure agreed items are implemented;
• Support ongoing business development leads;
• Provide inputs for process improvement (way of working, format, modality);
• Provide project management support, update PMF dashboard with latest progress.
