THOMAS TOWNSHIP PARKS & RECREATION – NATURE CENTER COORDINATOR

Thomas Township Parks & Recreation is seeking a Nature Center Coordinator to oversee our Nature Center and Preserve. This position offers a unique opportunity to inspire the community through outdoor education, environmental stewardship, and engaging nature-based programming.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in developing and delivering environmental education programs, project management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly and approachable disposition with a passion for teaching and nature.
• Experience with cash handling and office equipment.
• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Outlook; website development experience is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.

• Leading outdoor education programs and developing nature-based activities.
• Supporting nature-focused initiatives through fundraising, program planning, and project management.
• Handling administrative tasks such as cash receipting, recordkeeping, and office operations.
