The Nature Educator leads outdoor, nature-based learning experiences that foster curiosity, environmental stewardship, and hands-on exploration. This role integrates experiential learning with The Oaks Academy’s educational philosophy, encouraging students to connect with the natural world. This is a 12-month, full-time position. Responsibilities Plan and lead nature education focused on nature, science, and environmental awareness during the school day, after school, and in summer programming. Requirements Background in environmental education, outdoor education, science, or a related field Experience teaching or leading groups of children outdoors Digital competencies, including common software and online tools Strong classroom and group management skills in outdoor settings Able to work in various weather conditions Passion for nature-based and experiential education Bachelor's degree preferred Devout Christian who is a member of, associated with, or seeking to be associated with, a Christ-centered community of faith or a church
