PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Naval Architect is responsible for the naval architecture & structural calculations and design for the assigned ferry/ship design project. The role is also responsible for the overall management in delivering work scopes with the team for the relevant structure design package. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the Naval Architecture & structural calculations, design and reports for deliverable of relevant structure deliverables for the assigned ferry/ship design project Provide technical support to the Structural Design Team, fabrication and supply chain Supervise structural designer and draftsperson as required QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor' s Degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Ideally, a Licensed Philippine Naval Architect and Marine Engineer Has 5+ years relevant work experience in shipdesign/shipbuilding (ideally in an aluminium) Strong technical skills and the ability to problem solve Experienced with AutoCAD, and preferably STRAND (or other Finite Element Analysis package), Maxsurf Has supervisory experience with teams Role is located in Balamban Cebu, the shipbuilding capital of the Philippines.
