Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our Team and support our growing fleet. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, new building, performance, and compliance of vessels, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to the latest environmental standards. The role involves close collaboration with technical, operations, and environmental teams to integrate innovative and sustainable solutions into vessel design and retrofits. Key Responsibilities Conduct stability, structural, and hydrodynamic analyses. Support drydockings, retrofits, and modifications, ensuring optimal performance and compliance. Prepare and review technical drawings, reports, and calculations. Liaise with classification societies, shipyards, and internal technical teams. Provide technical expertise on vessel performance monitoring and improvement. Participate in feasibility studies and energy efficiency projects, including EEXI, CII, and alternative fuel assessments. Assist in project management activities related to newbuilding or retrofit projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Contribute to R&D initiatives within V Group, exploring innovative technologies that reduce the environmental footprint of our fleet. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in ship design, new building, fleet technical support, or classification. Knowledge of IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and class rules (DNV, ABS, BV, LR). Proficient in AutoCAD, NAPA, Maxsurf, or equivalent software. Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail. Excellent command of English (both written and spoken). Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (EEDI, CII, ESG reporting) will be considered an asset. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
