Description NAVIGATE TEAM LEADER/FAMILY EDUCATION CLINICIAN CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK The Navigate Team Leader/Family Education Clinician provides guidance and support to the Navigate team and direct services for families of individuals participating in Navigate. Navigate services are a multi-disciplinary approach to benefit individuals who are experiencing their first psychotic episode. EXAMPLES OF RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains documentation as evidence that all duties are completed in accordance with program requirements contained in the Department of Mental Health Operational Standards Maintains proper training, continuing education, qualifications, and other certifications required for this position as written in the Department of Mental Health Operational Standards. Represents Region 8 and Region 8 Administration in a positive manner at all times both internally and externally. Always leads by example and is a positive role model for coworkers. Serve as the primary liaison for referrals to the Navigate program Coordinate and lead the team and supervise the clinicians on the team Provide education/outreach in the community and within Region 8 of Navigate purpose and services Assessment and intake evaluation interviews for potential participants of Navigate Provide therapy to consumers in line with established treatment plans Responsibility for development and implementation of treatment plans in collaboration with the person, family and treatment team Participate in weekly clinical staff meetings, general staff meetings and in-service trainings Provide immediate emergency crisis intervention services in collaboration with the Mobile Crisis Response Team Maintain consumer records according to State, Federal and Region 8 Standards which includes monthly reporting to MS Department of Mental Health Accept and participate in case supervision Provide telephone on-call crisis intervention referral (as scheduled) Provide a minimum of 5 hours/day of direct services to consumers All other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS Master's Degree in mental health related field. Must have a valid Mississippi driver's license and use of an automobile for travel within the catchment area. Must pass Criminal Background Investigation.
