This is where YOU fit in: As the Maintenance Worker to answer the call; a team player who is dedicated to supporting our local Naval community, and operational successes on a day-to-day basis. You will perform a variety of tasks which involve the upkeep and repair of the Lodge facility. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families. So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed? Conducts preventative maintenance and takes periodic inventory of maintenance stock and equipment. Performs general carpentry, painting & plumbing tasks involved in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings or equipment. Performs routine maintenance on washers, dryers and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Follows all local safety regulations. Informs supervisor of hazardous conditions. Perform tasks involved in the upkeep of buildings, grounds, fixtures and equipment. NEXCOM Hospitality Group (NHG) guest rooms, etc. Typical assignments include painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical repairs etc. The Qualifiers: Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties. Is required to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring or uncomfortable positions. Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 45 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted. Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors. Must pass a pre-employment criminal & background check. Be available to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE Three years of maintenance work in involving painting plumbing carpentry and electrical repairs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Standing stooping bending kneeling climbing and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries material weighing up to 50 pounds
