JOB DESCRIPTION

Watershed Security, is a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years’ Cybersecurity and Government Contracting experiencing. Watershed is looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist with experience in:

  • The Cybersecurity Specialist will serve as a Qualified Validator (QV, formally Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) and Technical Writer working closely with the Government Senior QV in the support of Naval Surface Warfare Command in Panama City
  • Monitor and manage risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)
  • Keep up to date on national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity
  • Apply cybersecurity principles
  • Monitor and be aware of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
  • Analyze Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) requirements to determine
  • applicability to existing systems
  • Read and understand Standard Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and use the information to generate technically sound mitigation statements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in STEM from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years of experience in DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Information Assurance (IA) security compliance policies, programs, processes, and metrics
  • Experience with the Navy’s Risk Management Framework processes, and timelines
  • Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for entry and maintenance of RMF packages
  • Experience with Navy/NAVSEA RMF tools, such as eMASSTER, EvaluateSTIG, and STIGMaster
  • Ability to analyze Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) requirements to determine applicability to existing systems
  • Ability to read and understand Standard Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and use the information to generate technically sound mitigation statements
  • Certification: IAT Level III Certification required such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation or a Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Leadership Certificate (GSLC)
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
