NBC & Telemundo Connecticut Internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at NBC & Telemundo Connecticut are paid and do not require course credit. The pay rate is minimum wage. NBC Connecticut is looking for a team player to work with our Meteorologists. As an intern with our Weather department, you will work side-by-side with our team to learn and contribute with the following: Produce weather forecasts, segments, and stories Produce weather and science content for a digital audience, both visual and written Produce weather graphics and analyze data from the National Weather Service as well as other meteorological sources. Work with the producers and news team to create complete coverage of weather. Prepare and post forecasts for multiple platforms. Working with the meteorologists to produce engaging videos for social media Use of social media daily and especially during severe events. Attendance at community and weather-related events Qualifications Eligibility Requirements: Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
