We are looking for a Contract Specialist / Lawyer with expertise in legal German drafting for the telecommunications industry.
You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the legal aspects of telecommunications contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements. The role requires strong German language skills (ideally fluent, at a C1 level), solid legal knowledge, and relevant experience in the telecommunications sector. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with complex commercial contracts in German and will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and support business objectives.

Main Activities:

  • You will be responsible for reviewing RFPs, drafting and negotiating Global Framework Agreements, AMC/Managed Services Contracts, Statements of Compliance, NDAs, and aligning contracts with subcontractors across regions, ensuring alignment with stakeholder inputs and Nokia’s commercial and legal interests.
  • Key responsibilities include assessing contractual risks from legal, commercial, and service perspectives, advising on risk mitigation strategies, and supporting market teams during negotiations. You will engage with stakeholders on critical contract matters and conduct legal and regulatory research as required.
  • The role demands expertise in complex, high-value global contracts, familiarity with drafting SOPs, and a strong understanding of international contract law and Incoterms. Proficiency in contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools such as Conga, SirionLabs, Icertis, Ironclad, UnitedLex, and AI-driven contract analysis tools is essential.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are crucial, along with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and consistently deliver high-quality, timely outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law with 9–12 years of experience in contract management, review, and negotiation.
  • Strong business acumen to ensure contractual transparency, manage risk, and lead change management initiatives that safeguard company interests.
  • Experience in the telecommunications sector is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English is required.
  • Skilled at working independently or collaboratively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments..Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results.
