Employment Type: Full-Time Work Schedule: Hybrid (In-Office/WFH with Travel) Reports To: Executive Leadership Position Overview 3M’s Services LLC is seeking an experienced and qualified Director of Day Support Services to lead, oversee, and expand Day Support programs in full compliance with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) regulations and 3M’s Services LLC Policies and Procedures. This position functions at a Qualified Professional (QP) level and is responsible for the overall operational, administrative, and service quality performance of Day Support Services across current and future locations. The Director will ensure person-centered, community-based services are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and in alignment with Individual Support Plans (ISPs) Essential Duties & Responsibilities Program Leadership & Operations Lead and oversee all Day Support Services and future Day Support program locations. Ensure services are delivered in accordance with NCDHHS requirements, approved service definitions, and agency policies. Oversee daily program operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and continuity of services. Develop and implement operational workflows to support program stability and growth. Ensure services promote meaningful community integration and person-centered outcomes. Community Integration & Activity Planning Plan, coordinate, and oversee structured Day Support activities, community integration services, and outings. Ensure activities align with individual goals outlined in ISPs. Build and maintain community partnerships to support inclusive and engaging programming. Staffing, Training & Supervision Supervise Day Support staff and supervisory personnel. Ensure appropriate staffing ratios, scheduling, and coverage based on service authorizations. Ensure staff meet all training, competency, and compliance requirements. Provide coaching, performance management, and corrective action in accordance with agency policy. Family & Stakeholder Engagement Establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals served and their families. Serve as a point of contact for Day Support–related concerns, coordination, and quality improvement. Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure service consistency and satisfaction. Fiscal, Administrative & Quality Oversight Develop, manage, and monitor the monthly Day Support Services budget. Monitor staffing costs, utilization, and operational expenses. Ensure accurate documentation and administrative oversight to support audits and regulatory reviews. Participate in internal quality assurance activities and corrective action planning. Required Qualifications (Must Meet All Requirements) Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Special Education, or a closely related field. Minimum 2 years of documented experience working directly with individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Minimum 1 year of documented experience in Day Support or community-based services, including: Community integration and person-centered activity planning Coordinating and supervising community outings and structured day activities Team engagement, daily staffing coordination, and staff supervision Demonstrated experience supporting services in alignment with Individual Support Plans (ISPs). Ability to manage stress and lead effectively in a compliance-driven environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adhere strictly to NCDHHS regulations and 3M’s Services LLC Policies and Procedures. Work Environment & Expectations Hybrid position requiring regular in-office presence. Limited travel for program oversight, community engagement, and activities. Professional environment emphasizing accountability, regulatory compliance, and person-centered service delivery.
