MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 11+ years of experience in IT, data analysis, operations, or security.
  • Strong understanding of IPv6 and RFC 1918 standards.
  • Demonstrable administration knowledge of Windows, Unix, and Cisco environments.
  • Proficiency in Splunk reporting and analysis.
  • Proven experience with firewall operations, management, and compliance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with network discovery tools.
  • Experience in Change, Incident, and Problem Management.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly experienced NCRB System Network Architect Engineer to lead initiatives in network security, firewall management, and enterprise IT architecture. This role involves applying change control processes, conducting impact analyses, and providing expertise in network design, implementation, and optimization. The engineer will leverage AI to enhance security, compliance, and operational efficiency across large-scale IT environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply change control processes and tools to create strategies for projects and initiatives.
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and document requirements.
  • Support the design, validation, testing, and management of firewall rules.
  • Review existing firewall rules for compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Utilize AI to analyze large datasets, identify compliance risks, and provide insights for firewall policy development and decision-making.
  • Research security issues and recommend solutions to strengthen network defenses.
  • Manage network firewalls, routers, switches, and rule configurations for Cisco, Juniper, and Fortinet devices.
  • Perform firewall log analysis to detect inefficient or unapproved rules.
  • Support the nationwide implementation of firewalls and transition from manual processes to AI-driven analysis and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with project team members to develop documentation and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Use AI/LLM to identify trends, analyze risks, and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
  • Develop success metrics, monitor change progress, and integrate change control activities into project plans.
  • Facilitate effective communication with telecommunications engineers, business owners, and stakeholders.
