THE OPPORTUNITY

The Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC) is seeking an experienced and strategic NCTS Implementation and Engagement Lead to join the Health Data Semantics and Interoperability Group. This role will support national efforts to implement standard clinical terminologies—such as SNOMED CT and the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT)—as part of the Australian Digital Health Agency’s interoperability plan. You’ll play a key role in driving the adoption of these standards across Australia’s healthcare system.
In this position, you will lead the development and execution of the NCTS Adoption and Engagement strategy, providing high-quality implementation support and managing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You’ll also oversee outreach and education initiatives to ensure broad and effective uptake of SNOMED and AMT. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to national interoperability efforts, engage diverse stakeholders, and translate research into real-world impact within a flexible, inclusive, and career-supportive environment.

  • Providing high-quality support, education, and training to NCTS users, including proactive engagement and resolution of complex queries.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and the Australian Digital Health Agency to identify and address emerging implementation needs.
