JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled CGSB certified Level II technician for our Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing LPI, ECT, or MPI for the aviation industry and producing the inspection reports while meeting the required standards of quality and safety per Transit Canada requirements, TABAQ’s Maintenance Manual Policy (MPM), and the Safety Management System (SMS). This role requires a strong understanding of quality control, NDT inspection, and assurance methodologies, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills to drive high-level quality work.

EXPERIENCE

  • Must have 2-5 years experience and a valid CGSB Level II Cert. in NDT (LPI, ET, and MPI)
  • CGSB Level II Cert. in NDT (UT) an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), safety and quality systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as liquid penetrant Inspection (LPI), Eddy Current Testing (ECT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), and Visual Inspections.
  • Ability to perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is a definite asset.
  • Effectively administrate NDT equipment to detect irregularities, material flaws and structural defects without damaging the parts.
  • Release inspection reports and other forms of testing as required to ensure products meet regulatory and quality standards as well as customer specifications.
  • Complete all inspection functions as detailed in the OEM Structural Inspection and Repairs Manual.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records and documentation in line with regulations, Quality Assurance standards and TABAQ.
