If so, please click link: https://www.aidt.edu/aidt-transportation-request/ [https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www.aidt.edu_aidt-2Dtransportation-2Drequest_&d=DwMFAg&c=euGZstcaTDllvimEN8b7jXrwqOf-v5A_CdpgnVfiiMM&r=BvJFuZJ11pPunhlJZYahDmAhNe9PG5G_CIUPKhYoVZI&m=eQZ52u8v_QugOddKZQAEk__HzNZy_nPCOBbheQc5nNBqAgkgqsnELoGPonpp_DWV&s=g8pEBxZZqyieHNyjLtDpu_dWOrR6N4Mz2Vs-RHMTWvA&e=]  Purpose of Position:  To complete the required non-destructive inspections using approved NDT methods  Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions with or without a reasonable accommodation)  * Completes non-destructive inspections in support of the production schedule * Sets up equipment, conducts tests, and interprets those results  * Completes NDT inspection reports and logs as required by quality processes * Examines material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds * Tests products for structural defects such as leaks and internal cracks * Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, and/or inspection tag * Assists in on-the-job training of other NDT inspection personnel in the completion of inspection responsibilities * Participates in improvement efforts to improve turn time, reduce errors, or reduce costs using continuous improvement tools * Maintains qualifications and certification in accordance with NAS 410 and Segers QS 701. * Timely communicates with Chief Inspector concerning any quality processes * Utilizes the electronic database to complete transactions * Keeps a clean work environment using continuous improvement tools * Maintains an understanding of the methodology employed by bureaucratic and government organizations, and skills to deal with the requirements and systems imposed by these organizations. * Maintains accurate and timely records of inspections * Ability to demonstrate inspection proficiency on equipment, inspection methods & techniques, aids, and tools * Travels as needed * Confers with manager to recommend changes such as: equipment utilization, production methods and procedures to increase efficiency of department and promote improvement * Attends all safety and health training, as required, in a timely manner * Works when scheduled and complies with company attendance policy * Works overtime as needed * Observes and practices all safety procedures and personal policies (e.g. safety-glasses, ear plugs, face shields etc.) * Performs other duties as required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: (these are required to enable job holder to perform the essential functions of the job) * Must be familiar with NDT inspection techniques and tools used to complete the inspection process * Must be able to be qualified in (MT) Magnetic Particle, (PT) Dye Penetrant, and (ET) Eddy Current, with (UT) Ultrasonic Inspection being preferred, in accordance with ASTM standards, Segers internal procedures, Commercial and/or Military specification, Customer Requirements as specified. * Must be able to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among, co-workers and supervisors * Must be able to work with little or no supervision and to take initiative * Must be able to use applied knowledge to formulate positive solutions to problem situations * Must be able to apply common sense * Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English * Must be proficient in company specific software and Microsoft Office Word and Excel * Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using fractions and decimals; compute percentages, ratios, rates and interpret graphs  * Must be able to comply with OSHA requirements and standards to properly wear all applicable PPE * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. or more regularly with assistance occasionally * Must be able to see within 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses * Must be able to pass Jaeger and Ishihara eye exam * Must be able to pass color perception eye exam * Must be able to hear running machinery * Must be able to use hands, wrists, and fingers repetitively * Must have exceptional eye-hand coordination * Must regularly be able to reach overhead * Must regularly be able to squat, bend, twist and stand * Must be able to walk around regularly using steps occasionally * Ability to provide verifications of US citizenship or permanent residency to satisfy ITAR/EAR restrictions  Marginal Functions: (Duties that are likely to be assigned to this person, unless he/she proves unable to perform them after receiving training and/or accommodations that the company judges appropriate) * Other duties as assigned    Experience and Education Requirements:  * High School Diploma or GED required.  * Previous NDT Level II Certification criteria is required.  * Must pass a criminal background check and DOT drug screen and comply with all FAA regulations.  * Jaeger and Ishihara and color perception eye exam required upon hire.    Work Conditions: Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
