Description
We are now looking for a senior NDT Inspector for a long-term consulting assignment at our client in the energy sector. The assignment is an important part of the work with quality assurance of large steel fabrications for gas turbines and associated modules, where you will work both independently and in close collaboration with suppliers and global internal teams. About the assignment In the role of NDT Inspector, you are responsible for planning, implementing and following up on non-destructive testing and dimensional inspections of components for gas turbines and packaging modules. The work is largely done at suppliers, where you ensure that inspections are carried out according to applicable specifications and quality requirements. You review and verify technical documentation and identify and describe any deviations in a clear and technically correct manner. The role also involves driving dialogue and action together with suppliers and internal functions to ensure high and long-term quality. Tasks and responsibilities Preparation, implementation and follow-up of NDT and dimensional checks on LSF components Qualification and development of suppliers and active participation in improvement work Preventive quality work and development of preventive measures at suppliers Analysis of root causes of deviations and initiation of corrective and preventive measures Application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D and RCA Implementation of preventive SQM methods and risk management in supplier-related processes and projects Close collaboration with global teams and internal stakeholders Requirements Completed technical training in mechanics or equivalent (e.g. CWI, CWE or similar) NDT certification according to ASNT or ISO 9712 Certified in VT, MT, PT and UT – at least Level II Several years of relevant experience of NDT within Large Steel Fabrications (LSF) Very good knowledge of quality and improvement methodologies (5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA) Good experience of working in MS Office and SAP Very good communication skills and experience of working in cross-functional teams Fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish is a strong merit Merit Certification in LT
