JOB DESCRIPTION:

Are you an experienced NDT Technician wanting to be a part of a hard working and highly dedicated team? Cosworth is seeking a NDT Technician to support our Central Quality Team at our Northampton site.

Responsibilities
  • To carry out daily checks for both penetrant and magnetics and keep log up to date.
  • To inspect components for discontinuities to prescribed specifications.
  • To collect and send penetrant samples for analysis.
  • Maintain NDT equipment and standards in line with the international, Cosworth and customer requirements.
  • In addition to the above, the NDT technician will be expected to fulfil any other reasonable requirements consistent with departmental objectives.
  • Maintain consumables levels.
  • Keep personal qualifications including eye tests up to date.
  • Consider the health and safety, environmental and energy impact of all activities.
  • Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice.

Candidate Profile:

  • Technical specialist.
  • NDT Level Il qualification to BS EN4179 NAS 410 or working toward.
  • Able to exercise technical judgement, using sound engineering principles and appropriate experience.
  • Effective in planning, management, and implementation of NDT activities.
  • Familiar with following and using quality systems and procedures.
  • Understand and take account of technical, commercial, and competitive factors that characterise the business.
  • Able to select and deliver technical and company information for effective internal and external communication.
  • Personal and professional integrity and responsible attitude to the requirements within a manufacturing and engineering environment.
  • Able to interact with others to operate effectively within team activities.
